About the budget process
For those who have been following our budget advocacy: Unfortunately, House budget amendments for birth centers, maternal mental health programs, postpartum home visiting, etc. did not pass during their budget debate in April. In recent years, these initiatives have often been funded through the Senate, so we are shifting our attention to that process which is underway now.
After the Senate completes their budget, the House and Senate will negotiate a final compromise budget and send it to Governor Healey.
